In view of the recent tragedy of the deadly assault of the police officers in the State of Washington and in respect to the fallen officers and their families I am requesting that all police departments within the State of Arkansas and the AACP display the patch of the fallen officer over their departmental badges until after the fallen officer’s funeral services.  I am sure that you all join me in the sorrow and loss of our fellow men and women who give their lives unselfishly in the service of our country, departments and the communities for which they serve.
