COURSE DESCRIPTION
This 3-day course is designed for officers who have completed Officer Safety and Communication Spanish offered by the Criminal Justice Institute or have previous Spanish training from another source.
Officers will review the rules of Spanish pronunciation and will be introduced to enhanced numbers and the numbering system. Spanish DUI-DWI vocabulary and Standard Field Sobriety Testing will be taught. Officers will learn short-cuts to sentence structure and specific offense questions, review arrest/traffic commands, and be introduced to enhanced arrest commands.
Only officers with previous Spanish training will be enrolled in this class.
Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. each day.
