TWO DAY COURSE
8:30am to 5:00pm each day
13 hours of Continuing Education Credit
Ten modules of training
Training offered to all Law Enforcement personnel.
Classes are free and will be limited to 35 participants.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to help law enforcement officers develop a deeper understanding of the people who suffer from mental illness and its impact on families and society. The course will give officers the skills and knowledge to identify and provide the most safe, effective and compassionate response to police situations involving persons with mental illness or in mental crisis.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Target audience is small and medium market law enforcement professionals in Arkansas who have not been trained in CIT, or equivalent, and would like to enhance their skills in handling individuals exhibiting atypical behaviors.
