INSTRUCTOR: Hajir Nuriddin is a twenty-three (23) year veteran of the Bakersfield California Police Department, currently assigned as a lieutenant in the Homicide Investigations Division. She has commanded a variety of details throughout her career and was the first female motorcycle supervisor in the history of the department. Additionally, Ms. Nuriddin has trained as a consultant for FranklinCovey working with police agencies across the country. Hajir Nuriddin is a nationally recognized training instructor and certified as a Cultural Diversity instructor by the Department of Justice (D.O.J.), the California Peace Officers Standard of Training (P.O.S.T.) and Souder, Betances & Associates Diversity Trainers. Ms. Nuriddin holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Bakersfield. She is also a graduate of the PERF/Harvard University Senior Management Institute for Police, where she was selected as class coordinator, and a graduate of various police executive development courses. Ms. Nuriddin has instructed internationally with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in their International Training Academy. She is a nationally recognized speaker on diversity and leadership in the public and private sector and has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers and executives nationally.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will focus on developing police personnel to better understand the dynamics of diversity and how to identify and navigate through challenges they may face in a diverse society. Participants will learn in an energetic, highly interactive session which will challenge and enable them to expand their knowledge of leadership and diversity principles. This workshop will utilize experiential exercises in the training to enhance the learning goals and objectives.
